Exotic birds need to be know properly before adopting them as our new pets. These things are directly related to cost, different species, behavior, lifestyle and house hold among others. Finding the right exotic bird for you is crucial to build a great relationship with your pet.
Basically, exotic birds are usually more expensive than other species because of different factors such as origin and required care. Moreover, you will probably spend some extra money on cages, special food and vets. You must take into account that vets who are experts at exotic birds charge more expensive fees.
There is another thing you must take into account, which is the time you will spend with your exotic bird. Remember that parrots usually like being with other birds, so if you are not home much time, it is advisable to buy other exotic birds.
In general, exotic birds are well known due to their beauty and their adaptability to live with human beings. Lorikeets are one of these friendly exotic bird groups. Among the most exotic lorikeets, you will find Rainbow lorikeet, Blue Lorikeet and Red Collared Lorikeet. All of them require special cares and they have special needs.
Rainbow lorikeets which are from Australia, show rainbow colors in their feathers. They enjoy nectar and pollen in the wild. When feeding these lorikeets at home, it is necessary to include in their food the same nutrients. On the contrary, Blue lorikeets live in the Polynesia and they like being active during the day. Red Lorikeets are famous because they always lie in pairs or in small groups. Though these exotic birds are plenty of beauty, it is prudent to choose other exotic birds which are not in danger of extinction.
